Trick or Treat!

So, let’s start this post off with an apology.   We have been terrible bloggers.  No updates in months.  So, here’s a bit of catch up :)

Indy was a cowgirl for Hallowe’en.  Thanks Gramma H for the sweet costume.  Indy loved her new found long hair.  She had a fever and so she could not go trick or treating, but I would say that she had more fun handing out the candy.

while waving candy out the door: “here you go people!”

“More people coming my house?”

Too cute.  Hopefully next year we’ll be able to hit the streets!

Storybook Gardens

 

One of Indy’s favourite parts of going to Gramma and Grampa’s for the weekend was going to Storybook Gardens.  She had been there once before on a daycare field trip, but never with Gramma and Grampa.  So we played on the jungle gym to start…..

 

And then Indy got to go down a great big slide!  But she’s not really a fan of going down the conventional way…..

And then Grampa took her for a ride on a horse!!!!!

Well, not a real horse of course!  Indy was saving that for next weeks trip to the fair :)

And then Indy and Gramma and Grampa had some fun in the cutouts,

And you all thought Indy was a Princess!

 

A couple weeks ago, Indy spent the weekend at Gramma and Grampa H’s while Mommy and Daddy went away for a friends wedding.  Gramma and Grampa put Indy to work right away, “walking” their dog Zoe.

Indy worked diligently on her duties all weekend long, doing hundreds of laps around the pool, all to ensure Princess Zoe was happy.

"C" is for Cookie...

Mommy remembered that she needed to make cookies for work on Tuesday and enlisted Indy and Daddy for some help...

...here is the recipe that we are making!

Mommy is mixing the wet ingredients...wow that mixer is loud! I don't think Daddy should have bought the gas powered one?

Indy is looking after the dry ingredients...

...this is much quieter

The mixer doesn't seam so loud when I help.

Then we add the chocolate chips. Indy suggested semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips.

Indy thinks we need more chocolate chips...

Daddy said we needed a team photo for the blog...

...say "Cheese"

Mommy suggested that read a book while we waited for the first batch.

With the cookies done it is time for Indy to perfect the milk dunk...

What do you mean there are no more cookies and I have to go to bed?

A day at the beach!

A while Back Indy, Mommy, and Daddy went to Port Stanley to have a beach day. Mommy said it was strange to go to the beach so early in the morning!

...and what is a trip to Port Stanely with out a lunch of fries and Orange-aide!

Go Wild!

During Indy's week off from day-care the Brown family took a trip down the highway to African Lion Safari!

After a long car ride we took the "Queen of the Nile" boat tour...
Indy saw some monkeys, lemurs, and the strange bird below!

Then we took a train ride...

Indy saw elephants, turtles, deer, and the camels.

After lunch we watched the elephants go swimming...

After watching the elephant swim we went for a bus ride to see the rest of the animals....

There were sheep...but they don't look like the ones at Gramma's house?

There were Lions...

During our bus ride an osterich decided that it wanted us to hang around a little bit longer. She parked herself infront of the bus and wouldn't move. We sat there for 20 inutes before she let us pass!

Of course there was the monkeys! They were sitting on side mirrors and hoods of other cars!

Indy really loved the giraffes. They are way bigger than her giraffe at home.

All in all it was a really fun day with the family!

During Indy's week off Mommy, Daddy, Clara, and Indy took a trip to the splash pad...

Indy has been working on smiling for the camera.  Looks like we still have some practicing to do…..this face is priceless

Isn’t this so sweet!  Indy brought me home flowers for my bday :)  they are as big as she is!

For those of you keeping track of just how fast Indy is changing here are some pictures of her first braids.

1.  Her hair is finally growing! and is now long enough to do something with

2.  She stood still long enough to let me braid it!
